The Final Bow!
This week is the last episode of the Drew Carson Show podcast. It has been a long journey and so much fun. From the highs of interacting with you guys and gals, talking to some incredible people who have become great friends to the lows of interviews that got away from me, interviews that never made it to air and episodes disappearing from the feed for no goddamn reason you have stuck by me, supported me, encouraged me and we have grown together.
I grew in confidence and became less socially awkward and you all grew into an immense crowd of supportive friends. The fact that more people listened to my little show each week than attend most football (soccer) grounds in Scotland on a Saturday has humbled me greatly. You hear a lot of podcasters talking about their 50,000 over all downloads or 5,000 strong subscribers list to me you have never been numbers but 1,000s of people sharing in this journey and interacting along the way and you all kept me going through the tough times. I will never forget any of you but it was time for a change and for me to pursue some new and exciting challenges.
In this episode I will talk about the history of the show, my best and worse interviews some of the ups and downs of the show and what I learned along the way. If you are a podcaster or interested in how to put a podcast like mine together then this episode will be for you. Learn from my mistakes and repeat my successes and maybe you will have as much fun as I have.
There might be a surprise or two on the show, shout-outs and thank yous to boot.
And oh yeah I will talking about my Christmas Special "Drinks With Drew" which will be available only on Facebook and Smiletime. The first two guests of which will be announced on Facebook and Twitter on Nov 30th and the final guest will be announced on this very episode. So add my little channel over on Smiletime so you don't miss any of the fun.
And if you want to continue the journey with me add my wee website and social media accounts for Terror Firma.

And of course the wee monthly podcast I do with the ever mental James Lundy COMMON SENSE THERAPY and find it on Facebook here.

This Week's Show
Having fallen overboard unconscious off a surf charter boat in the middle of a stormy night, Brett survived an ordeal of being stung by a Portugese man of war and jellyfish, being attacked by seagulls, hit by a shark plus swimming alone for 28.5 hours in the Mentawai Straits in the Indian Ocean, entrepreneur and successful bussinessman Brett Archibald is now a sought-after motivational speaker and after listening to this episode you will hear why.
Brett told me of his dramatic ordeal and how it has changed his life for the better, so if you are a fan of overcoming great odds then check out this episode at the link above.
You can also find out about Brett at his website.

End Of An Era!
After taking some much needed time away to reflect on both life and on the direction of the podcast I have come to the realization it is time to step back from the Drew Carson show all together.
I have had a tremendous time interviewing some amazing people and making friends with a lot of them and of course the greatest part was interacting with you all. This journey started at a time when socializing was a scary prospect for me and you guys and gals made it that little bit easier each and every week.
I have realized that the show has evolved beyond what I set it out to be which in some ways was a good thing and in others not so much. I need to get back to basics and to pursue a new direction in podcasting all together.
I will be recording 1 or 2 more episodes to round the show up and I will be featuring some great guests on those shows so watch out for them in the coming weeks.
I want to take this time to thank each and every one of you who stuck by the show and by me over the last year and a half and I want to also say that this is not the end of my podcasting journey just the end of this particular show.
Some of you will like the new idea I have some of you will probably hate it which is all good. I will post up a link to the new show when it is ready on here and on social media and I will see you crazy cats in the coming weeks for the final few episodes.
Lets make them the best of the best.
Thank you.
~Drew

The What? With Drew Episode 1 Alien Beliefs
Halloween special time folks!
Here we have the links to the brief wee intro I recorded for the episode, the episode itself and my after thoughts. It took months of work to cut this episode down to just shy of 34 minutes from 3 hours haha and I took out a couple of talking heads that I later discovered were charlatans. It's been an epic journey and it's only just beginning as I will be doing it all over again for episode 2 which should be available.... should be..... in January.
The regular Drew Carson Show will be back next week with a bang so don't miss that and I hope you enjoy this special!
All media audio clips were used under the fair use act.
You can find out more about Dr. Kitei's documentary by visiting her website.

A Break From Regular Broadcasting: The What? With Drew... Alien Beliefs
This Friday there will not be a new episode of the Drew Carson Show but instead the Halloween special and first episode of the wee mini series of audio documentaries called The What? With Drew.
In this first episode entitled "Alien Beliefs" I take a gander at UFOs, aliens and those who believe in them. I focus on the Phoenix Lights event of 1997 and interview the original videographer of the famous video that captivated the world. I speak to a UFO expert who tells me why it is such a great example of evidence and I speak to a complete skeptic that says it's all hokum. What do I believe? Well you'll have to watch to find out..

Dr Lynne Kitei
Dr. Lunne Kitei, is an internationally acclaimed physician and health educator who pushed aside her successful medical career to pursue writing the Phoenix Lights book and produce the internationally award winning documentary project.
